ForeNav Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026

This policy explains how ForeNav uses personal information and your choices. For privacy questions or requests to access, obtain a copy of, or delete your information, email privacy@forenav.app.

Information we use

We use account information for sign-in and to associate your journeys and settings with you. We collect the places, travel times, vehicle setup, weather preferences and journey actions you provide to deliver journey checks, Watch, Protection and trip review. Related records and feedback help us operate the service and provide support.

ForeNav stores settings, sign-in information, pending trip actions and information needed for location and drive detection on your phone. This can include location information and saved car associations.

Location and Protection

Journey checks can use places you enter without device location. If you choose your current location, ForeNav uses it to assess the journey.

During Protection, ForeNav collects your precise location and movement information, including direction and available speed, and sends it to ForeNav for weather and warning checks. Location use continues when the app is closed or your phone is locked, with an ongoing Android notification. Your location may also be sent to Google for route and weather checks.

Automatic Protection uses background location to detect departure or an unplanned drive. Optional physical activity and Bluetooth access provide additional driving and trip-end information. ForeNav asks you to confirm an unplanned drive before starting Protection.

Turning Automatic off stops new drive detection. An active trip continues using location until Protection ends. Choose End journey to stop that trip's tracking on this phone and send the end request to ForeNav. Offline requests are sent when the app next opens with a connection. Signing out also stops tracking on this phone. ForeNav shows an error if it cannot confirm a stop.

Service providers

Our sign-in provider processes sign-in information. Google receives the places, coordinates, journey times and displayed areas needed to provide place search, routes, weather, maps and radar. See Google's Privacy Policy and Maps Terms. ForeNav obtains official weather warnings from the National Weather Service.

If you allow notifications, ForeNav registers a device push token with our push notification providers for journey updates. Notification messages exclude destinations, route details and recommended actions. Delivery can be delayed or fail.

If you send feedback in the app, ForeNav emails it to our team through our email provider. It includes your message, the app and Android versions, the last screen you used and the last trip you viewed, but not your location. ForeNav deletes the message from its servers once it is sent. Our email provider keeps a copy for up to 30 days.

Hosting and storage providers process information to operate ForeNav. Google Play processes subscription payments. ForeNav receives purchase and subscription information to manage access, but not your payment-card number through that purchase flow.

Analytics and diagnostics

Where analytics is available, it is enabled by default after you accept the Terms. You can turn it off in Profile. ForeNav uses an analytics provider for limited product-use events and redacted error reports with a pseudonymous identifier. Reports exclude coordinates, addresses, destinations and route details. Session replay is disabled. Turning analytics off also stops these optional error reports. Separate operational records help us run and troubleshoot the service.

Retention and deletion

We generally keep account and journey records until you delete your account. Support records may remain as needed to address your request or an applicable obligation.

The live location record is replaced by newer updates and removed when Protection ends. Saved journeys and route estimates are separate. Detailed route information is removed after the trip's 60-minute Resume period, or after its departure window if Protection never started, with a 29-day retention backstop.

You can request account deletion in the app or by emailing privacy@forenav.app. We may verify control of the account. Deletion removes your ForeNav account and journey records. Limited information needed to finish identity deletion or subscription cancellation may remain while those steps are pending. Providers handle information they hold under their own retention and deletion practices.

A limited record of your used free-trip allowance is kept for 12 months after account deletion completes to prevent deletion from resetting the allowance. It contains no journey or location information.

ForeNav requests cancellation of future Google Play renewal when you delete your account. Check Google Play subscriptions and cancel there if it remains active. Deletion does not refund the rest of the current period.

Your choices

You can turn analytics off, decline physical activity or Bluetooth access, change Android permissions, turn Automatic off, end a protected trip or sign out. Protection requires location access and a visible ongoing notification. Automatic Protection also requires background location. Denying or revoking required access limits the affected feature.

ForeNav does not sell personal information or use journey or Guardian information for advertising.
